NeuraHome
Can a home be run through a voice assistant and a live dashboard?
An AI-driven smart home: a natural-language voice assistant, infrared control of devices, a web platform for real-time data and ThingsBoard dashboards, all connected over secure MQTTS and orchestrated by Node-RED. Presented at the Wajahni event, representing ESPRIT.
- My role
- Co-developer of the IoT and AI system, and presenter of the project at the Wajahni event
- Platforms
- IoT, AI, Web
- Stack
- Node-RED
- MQTT / MQTTS
- ThingsBoard
- Python
Situation
A connected home should be run the way we talk, and its data should be readable at a glance. NeuraHome brings several ways of controlling the home into one smart, intuitive experience.
Built as a team, and I had the chance to present it at the Wajahni event, representing ESPRIT.
Product
Four ways to interact with the home:
- AI voice assistant: natural-language commands and intelligent answers.
- Infrared (IR) control to operate home devices.
- Web platform: real-time data, sensor history and analytical charts.
- ThingsBoard: monitoring, dashboards and device management.
System
- MQTTS: encrypted, reliable communication between devices, platforms and services.
- Node-RED as the backend: it carries the automation logic, the data flows and the integration of the whole system.
- ThingsBoard for monitoring and device management, next to the web platform dedicated to visualisation.
